Bugeye seem intent on redefining the term ‘indie disco’. No longer does it mean a Thursday night ‘speciality’ of The Cure at the local pub. Nope, it is a heady mix of guitar led aggro and disco dance beats. It’s the sound 90’s indie band Elastica would have made had they been less po-faced and more up for a laugh – less E’s and grumbling, more Gin-berry-fizz and dancing shoes.
And disco-stomp it does! This female four-piece from Croydon and Birmingham (there’s a story in itself!) now residing in London are intent on bringing hook-laden catchy bouncy tunes to your life. ‘Electric’ sounds huge and huge fun. When the Bugeye party turns up in your town, make sure you are there.
