Erika Wester – I Don’t Really Like You Sober
‘I Don’t Really Like You Sober’ is a single taken from New York based musician Erika Wester’s ‘Home’ EP.
It’s a beautiful slice of indie folk. The acoustic guitar sounds great and Wester’s vocals are gorgeous. They remind a little of Jerry Williams. The song is simple, there is nothing flashy going on, but it’s highly effective and honestly pretty much perfect.
“Everyone is getting older. I never really liked you sober. Always I believed, The world was mine to keep” sings Wester. And also in her own words the song is about “Outgrowing what you used to love. Outgrowing what you thought you needed.”
Even if indie folk is not really your scene, it’s nigh on impossible not to like this song. Be sure to check out the full EP. I think we have a potential future star in Erika Wester.
