Sunday February 3rd – 7:30pm to 11pm
Released through Bella Union on November 9th, My Name Is Safe in Your Mouth more than lives up to Moss’s promise of fresh, bold adventure. Sonically spare yet sumptuous in its emotions, elemental power and expansive melodies, the record is a richly felt, vividly realised trip into the interior from the Duke Spirit singer. A serene to stormy series of deep dream pop meditations on devotion and selfhood, creativity and parenthood, it treats unknown territory not as some thing to fear but as a seed bed of possibility.
Rolling Stones magazine has named this new album as one of their top recommended albums, saying ‘Moss has one of rock’s great voices’. You can find out what all the fuss is about for yourself when she performs live at Hare & Hounds Kings Heath on 3 February 2019.
Liela will be supported by Saint Alto – a four piece alternative indie folk band. They have gathered attention for ‘hauntingly beautiful’ songs paired with the drive of indie folk found in artists such as Ben Howard and Bon Iver.
