‘Mutual Memory’ is the new release from Melbourne’s The Lazy Susans and is taken from their forthcoming debut album ‘Now That The Party’s Over’ which is released on August 2nd.
There is a large number of Australian acts who have become well known in the UK in recent times but there is still a heck of a lot more who haven’t had the exposire yet that they deserve and The Lazy Susans are definitely one of them. Dating back to 2017’s ‘Closure’ EP this is a band who have shown a propensity for being able to write great songs and ‘Mutual Memory’ is right up their with the best of them. It’s sad indie rock at it’s very best, melancholic yet uplifting. The sorrow in singer Antonia Susan’s voice at odds with those driving guitars that make you want to fight back… Amazing. Can’t wait for the album release!
